PINECONE FontanaArte Table lamp

Pinecone is the table lamp by FontanaArte, designer Paola Navone. Lamp features a diffuser in blown glass, available in glossy transparent or milky white satin, chrome or gold cage.

This lamp is made according to an ancient technique of glass blowing caged where the master glassmaker blows to the mouth glassy bubble within a metal cage, which contains the natural expansion only partially. In this way the final product is in part retained by the cage and partly escapes, creating a voltage that generates a game object suspended in the act of escape from their constraint; the cage is further enhanced by a galvanic treatment that enhances the appearance, making it shiny and bright.

The transparent version, in particular, the observer can see a two-tier structure, multiplying the visual effect, and the intertwining of metal basket casts on surrounding surfaces a kaleidoscopic play of shadows. On the contrary, the white version gently follows the cage and underlines the geometries creating an elegant and pleasant diffused light. Illuminated by a light source that the end user has the ability to choose, it is highly suggestive bright new appliance and impactful either switched off or switched to.
